So I have a flickr page. Why not hey.

My first attempt at taking a photograph of the moon. Came out ok considering the lens I was using.
Here are some pictures that I have taken over recent weeks - but havent had the time until now to edit and upload them.

So I went into the city today to buy Annabelle a push present today and as I was walking past a book store this book was screaming out to me. I have no idea how I even noticed it - it wasnt as if I stopped to look in the bookstore window. Infact I walked straight past the book store and then something made me turn around and walk back to the window. And in the window was this book. It was very uncanny.

Its the story of "Willow - the fairy of bravery". I just had to purchase it.
After much huffing and puffing from mum - and quite a long labour - baby Willow Lucinda Phoebe Gjessing was born on 20th January 2009 at 9.05pm. Welcome little one.

For those who want to know, 8 pounds and 50cm.
Special thanks to mum for all for hard work :)
Romilly is - what - a little over two years old. For someone so young she has a great gasp of technology (being able to use my iphone and the digital camera with no problems) - and as shown here - she has a great eye and a steady hand. Pretty good composition hey..

Sleep.

It used to be cool to like Duran Duran - that was the 80's then in the 90's it was very uncool. Now it seems that its cool again.

This was taken at the V Festival in Melbourne 5th April 2008.
We have started to get into the habit of taking Romilly to the park. She loves it! She particularly likes the swing, closely followed by the slippery dip. We have our own naming convention for the parks we visit (straight from the Daniel Parking Naming Convention). We have 'dark park'; which is the park closest to our house. Its called dark park because - simply, its a dark park. At night it looks quite seedy - but we dont visit it at night so thats ok. There is also 'chrissy park' which is the park near where my cousin Chris lives, and then there is 'after work park' which is the park we take Romilly to after work on the way home. She particularly likes a trip to the park when we pick her up from day care after work.
Here are some picture taken today.
Little Miss managed to pull a cup of coffee (lucky it wasnt hot) over herself at about 7.00am this morning. So we found ourselves having a very early bath.

Romilly's sleeping has gotten better - infact a heap better - thanks to the Baby Whisperer who has managed to knock her into a proper sleeping routine. Lets hope she sticks to it.
The other day Annabelle said 'bye-bye' and Romilly proceeded to lift her arm and wave at her and then said "see-ya". We just looked at each other with the "we didnt teach her that" look in our eyes. Clearly she is observing things at day care. She is also soooo close to walking now. Infact she wants to spend more time standing and cruising then she does sitting down. Her favourite game (and my least favourite) is her holding onto my fingers (one for each hand) and then walking around the house). I mean its nice - but not all day long.
To get into the festive season and spirit I decided to drape xmas lights over our standing stone yesterday.. whilst it sounds tacky it actually looks really really good :)
And then there were three..
Glacial trekking NZ style..

Buckingham Palace..
Tomorrow Romilly will be 1 year old. Its quite incredible to think that 12 months ago she wasnt born, and almost two years ago she didnt feature in our lives at all. It just shows you how much life can change (for the better) in such a short space of time.. and indeed it can change alot.
We just spent the last 4 or so days in the Blue Mountains with Annabelle's side of the family. Its times like these that we will look back on and cherish. Special thoughts go out to Mr Determined who hurt his finger.

This morning I was going about my business and I turned around to see what Romilly was doing - and this is what greeted me. She had managed - by her own accord - to stuff two dummies into her mouth - I dont know how - but she did it. And wasnt she pleased with herself.

A while back I did a video slide show of photographs of Romilly's first 10 weeks. Whilst its been a long time coming - I have finally completed the sequel - no not Romilly 2 - this time its a slide show of photographs from 3 to 9 months of age. Hence the title "329 Months".
Click on the image above to view it (its about a 25meg download - which isnt too bad considering it was originally a 1.4gig file!).
So all that needed to be done was for the turf to be laid - which occurred first thing this morning. Looks pretty damn good all completed :)
