.. some days fate just wants to deal you a really crappy hand of cards. You cant complain about it.. its what you have been dealt... all you can do is play your hand as best you can, make the most of what you have and be thankful that the cards you got arent as bad as what they could have been....
So 10 days ago I put a CPU (Core2 Duo E6300) on ebay with a buy it now price of $130.00 - 10 days later - today; it sold. For $125.50. Was it really worth waiting the 10 days to get it $4.50 cheaper then what the buyer could have had it for 10 days ago? Interesting.
Why is it that some people dont think thats its ok to download movies and tv shows from the internet yet will quite readily borrow a DVD or video from a friend? Isnt this the same thing?
For the last few weeks Romilly has been pulling herself up on things and standing. Whilst she cant stand unaided just yet she takes every opportunity to pull herself up onto something into a standing position. Its constant. Whats also constant is the inevitable tumbles that she takes. As she gets more daring, the falls to the ground become more common. She doesnt seem to hurt herself too severely, but it usually always results in a cry of some sort - even if it only lasts a few seconds.
Well its not really artificial milk - its cow's milk - but its not the human kind. Eitherway, Romilly had her first bottle of cows milk yesterday, in preparation for when she starts day care. She seemed to like it, infact she gulped it down no fear. She had had it before on her weetbix, but this was the first time she had had a full bottles worth.
Isn't it interesting how having a baby with you is actually a great conversation starter?
I had to go into work yesterday for a job interview and of course I took Romilly in with me. People who I don't even know were coming up to me at work googling at Romilly and talking to me. I hadnt even met these people before, but having a baby with me gave them sort sort of permission - or an ice breaker of sorts - to come and talk to me and of course make funny faces at Romilly.
I just thought that it was interesting - thats all.
This morning I was going about my business and I turned around to see what Romilly was doing - and this is what greeted me. She had managed - by her own accord - to stuff two dummies into her mouth - I dont know how - but she did it. And wasnt she pleased with herself.
