Sitting here tonight at my PC with the baby monitor by my side I thought of the plot for what could potentially be a scary movie.. I know it would scare the crap out of me. A simple concept which would put a tingle up any parents spine...
Put simply, a couple of parents start hearing noises and voices through their baby monitor... eek!
For the last few days its been a bit of trial and error in the food department for young Romilly. After a few false starts we thought she had mastered the art of solids by mouth - but that seemed to take a backward step and it appeared to be a one off; as since that occassion its been a struggle with more food being rejected and ending up on either me, her or both of us - but very little reaching her stomach.
Tonight we had success and I think we are back on track. Tonight she gobbled down the largest amount by far. She appears to prefer the Pumpkin and Sweet Corn variety and most doesnt really like any Farex mixed in with it - which is a bit of a shame as its a great source of iron - I may try and sneak it back in at a later stage :) We have also found that for any chance of success she has to have her solids before any of mum's milk is offerred first - that may seem obvious but you would be surprised.
We have also found that she didnt like the spoon that we were using. Yesterday I tried feeding her by putting some of the food on a finger and she took straight to it and gobbled a heap down. Today we tried a different spoon - a smaller plastic one (as opposed to the large metal table spoon :)) and instance success.
So it appears we are on track - I hope - fingers crossed.
She also eats plain yoghurt - dont know if she likes it - dont know if she knows if she likes it or not yet, but she does it eat - albeit whilst pulling a strange face. Must get a picture of that sometime.

The opening credits for 007's "Casino Royale" are amongst the best that I have seen. Just as good as the opening sequence to "Contact" (Jodie Foster).
Romilly had her first solids today.. nothing spectacular just some good old plain rice cereal.. yum yum. She seemed to take to it quite well, she didnt have alot of it, but what she did have she seemed to take ok - in that she seemed to eat it. She pulled a few funny faces... which Im sure we will laugh at when we watch the video in years to come.
