Updating....
Delete \\windows XP\....

Install Windows Vista...
Why not? Yes, I have jumped on the band wagon, although I suspect that the coach hasnt even left town yet... but the way I look at this is that I will eventually be going to Windows Vista so why wait? Why not get straight on board, so I did. I even purchased a copy. Erhhh..
So what do I think? I think I like it. I didnt like XP at first when I upgraded from Windows98/2000 but I soon enough got used to it.. and I think its going to be the same for Vista. The hardest thing is to unlearn the way you used to do things, there are some changes.
The biggest change is that it is very much locked down.. nothing really happens in this OS unless it asks you if its ok. Want to install something, run the setup but then be prepared for Vista to ask permission to run the setup. Sort of like the delete files routines - are you sure you want to delete these files? Yes Im sure, otherwise I wouldnt have said delete.
All up, though I think I like it. It will take some getting used to.. but then again dont most things? And the best thing is that my PC scored a 4.8 out of 5 in the "Windows Experience Index" - in other words what your PC is rated in terms of hardware and performance etc..
I have even gone back to Internet Explorer as they seem to have taken all of the best bits of Firefox. I do sort of feel bad about that..
