Something To Laugh At

Its been trying to happen for a good number of weeks now.. and today it finally occurred. Romilly 'officially' laughed for the first time..

Romilly's World Updated

I have now updated Romilly's Photo Gallery so that it looks - ermm.. more professional :) Apart from the new lay out, there are some new snaps there too..

Here Today - Gone Tomorrow

It had to happen - infact I expected it to happen so much so that I thought I ensured that I backed everything up (in more then 1 place) in case that it did happen.

After sifting my way through 19,000 odd photographs they have now all been compiled and 'tagged' - which I am very happy about. What I am not so happy about is that I have somehow deleted some of our pics of Romilly. I have been to all of my back ups and I cant find them! We have lost about 30 or so pictures from the last get together from our parenting class. :(

The good news is that there were about 6 other camera's taking snaps on that day - so we should be able to get some pictures from the day, whats not so good news is that we took some really nice shots of Romilly in a hammock that none of the other parents will have copies of. Things arent that back though I guess, as I had previously uploaded two of those pictures to the website - so I have those, and I have printed a few off the best ones out in hard copy to put in the family photo album... so all is not lost.

I guess Im more disappointed in the fact that I expected it to happen and my safe guards were not so safe.

The Great Escape

Romilly is a regular Houdini.. no less then 3 minutes ago did I entwine her in the tightest, strongest, fool proof wrap known to man-kind. And it took her less then 3 minutes to wriggle herself to a point where the wrap was loose enough for her to get her hands out. I sat there and watched in amazement at how she contorted her body to enable herself to be freed from the evil constraints of cotton!

Time to get Organised

For the last few weeks - over Xmas and the New Year, I have been getting to those tasks which have been on the list to do - but never really got around to doing (the back yard is still out of the equation - I just dont have the time for that one yet.. infact it may be a project worth throwing $$ at).

Having edited a heap of old video footage and made DVD's out of them, cleaning like there is no tomorrow, organising just stuff, wiring up the garage so that I now have some power to my work bench, backing up a heap of data on my PC that I would be lost without, throwing some stuff on Ebay and finally cataloging a heap of my digital photographs. Infact before I started to cull some of them I had over 19,000 pictures on my PC.. yep 19,000. Thats just way too many. So Im culling a heap of the trashy (out of focus) ones and then adding tags to each of them so that its easier to find them when I need to.
