We all know about the Leap Year that occurs every 4 years - you know when February gets that extra day - wouldnt you hate to be born on the 29th Feb - it just wouldnt seem right having a birthday every 4 years. Anyway.. this year is going to be extended by 1 second - its true. Scientists have decreed that the start of 2006 will be delayed by 1 second to bring the universe back into alignment or some rubbish.
Personally, I would prefer that they didnt do any readjustments until all of the seconds added up to a whole day - and then we could all get an extra day off work when they did their so called readjustment. I mean if you are going to mess with the times then make it worthwhile folks..
