The Stress of it All

Who would have thought that house hunting and buying your own home could have been so stressful! Isnt rule number one not to become emotionally attached to a potential property?

How can you not though.. I mean who wants to buy a property that they are only half hearted about or dont really like much anyway - the properties that you do want to buy are the ones that you really like - otherwise you wouldnt be buying it right?

Good grief.. anyway.. we found 'our' property the first day we looked (I know its quick isnt it.. but it can happen) - infact we continued to look thinking we couldnt possibly find 'the one' on the first day. But everyone thing else we say just reinforced how much we wanted 'that' one.

Finance is approved (on paper), offers have been made and accepted - but not we just need to exchange contracts. But of course there are delays.. and whilst there are delays in exchanging the stress levels rise that someone else will buy OUR property!!

All So Sorry

When you get a chance, SorryEverybody.com - be sure to check out the Gallery - some of them are very funny indeed.

We are in Sydney Australia and even we are sorry and we couldnt do much about it.

House Hunting

Is it possible to find 'the' house in your first weekend of house hunting? I guess we will find out over the next few weeks.. once an offer has been made and hopefully accepted.

The Printer Cycle

Why is it that its mostly cheaper to buy a new printer then it is to buy a new printer cartridge and ink for your existing printer? Its true. I have owned 3 printers so far and I am about to enter the market for a 4th. Its not because there was anything specifically wrong with my other printers - except they ran out of ink and the heads got clogged that they needed replacing. Still, you would expect that geting a new cartridge would be cheaper then buying a whole brand new printer! And a printer that is 10 times better then your older printer anyway.

I wonder if anyone else has experianced this same dilema. What happens to all of these old printers - thats what I want to know.

A New Beginning

8 weeks overseas and I couldnt bother to blog even once! Gosh! How slack. So whats news? Married, hand has/is healed, driven 5000 miles around the UK, spent a week in Crete and added another place to the list of "my favourite places". Not much really.. whats been happening with you?

Weddings are meant to be nice and simple - and ours was.. yet still special and elegant as it should be. Considering we were just planning to head off overseas and elope until family found out - we only had about 4 weeks (?) to plan the whole thing. And we are both very pleased with how it turned out.

Heading off on a honeymoon of a life time (yes I only plan to have one honeymoon), we spent a month and a half in the UK, staying with my brother, and driving as far north as the Isles of Lewis and Harris and as far south as Canterbury and Cornwall. And then managing to stop just about everywhere in between. All 5000+ miles of it!

A week in Crete - at a bad resort full of pommie tourists wanting to turn Crete little England but with sun, didnt spoil it too much for us. And spending a day on Santorini confirmed its place amongst Venice, Bwets-y-coed, Paris and Bronte as the best places on the globe.

And what of it now? Back to a Sydney summer with weekends spent house hunting.. isnt it great to be home?
