On the 05/10/03 Kev and Deb were married.

Lloyd Cole (as in he and the Commotions) is coming back to Sydney for another Accoustic show.. I last saw him a few years ago at the Basement in Sydney. He played for hours on end, and I finally have to leave the venue before he did because I had to get to work the next day. I remember the show as being one of the best and most intimate shows I have seen.

Anyway.. he is due back in Sydney for some more one on one accoustic shows, I was lucky enough to purchase some pretty good tickets.. 3rd row from the front, I even managed to score some for my friends Kev and Deb, who also went with me last time he toured - they are on their honeymoon at the moment, so I just got them tickets anyway because I know they will want them.

I should be really happy right! Sure I should.. Lloyd Cole is a master and I have great tickets!

Well I was all happy - that was until my girlfriend started messing with my head. The problem is that Duran Duran are touring also, and we have tickets to see them in a show with Robbie Williams on the 13th Dec. Lloyd Cole is playing on the 12th and its my birthday on the 10th! Its going to be one hell of a weekend!

The problem now is that Duran Duran are rumoured to be playing their own show in Sydney too.. as of yet unannounced. Well Annabelle asked what I would do if Duran annouced their solo show for the 12th! The same night as Lloyd cole! WHAT! No they couldnt!

I have sat down and I have looked at the dates, the only dates they are available for a solo Sydney show really are the 11th or 12th of December. The 12th being a Friday night.. me thinks I know what night they will play Sydney!

ARHH!!! Looks like I wasted a heap of money on Lloyd Cole tickets doesnt it. Fingers crossed that the Birmingham boys (thats Duran) do actually play Sydney on 11th! Please!

Take 600g of Chicken (Thigh Fillets will do) and brown them in a pan. Chop up one onion, two Carrots, several leeks, some beans and some mushrooms and put them all in a pot with the browned chicken. Pour in a tin of Cream of Chicken soup, some french onion soup, a cup of chicken stock (a cube and some water will do) and a half cup of milk. Season to taste and bring to the boil and then simmer for 40 minutes.

Boil some pasta - spirals will do, when cooked add to the chicken goo and there you have your dinner. I did.. its nice. I call it Chicken Goo.

Is there a skill to making a sandwich? Is it an art? My lunch today consisted of a Red Tuna and Salad sandwich. Whilst eating it I took to the time to inspect it. What do you mean you dont inspect? Sure you do you just dont realise it.

Anyway, I wondered if there was a specific order to which the sandwich should be made. You know, Red Tuna, and then Tomato and then Onion, or is it the Onion before the Tomato? Does it really matter? Do you really care?

We all know that certain ingrediants go well together - Tomato and Basil - you get the idea. So the same could be said to your daily sandwich. There should be an order to which the ingrediants are applied to the bread to make it taste the best. You dont agree? Or you just dont care? You probably dont care. But you care enough to read this far.. next time you order your sandwich, then maybe you should ask the shop assistant who is making it.. see if they know if there is there hidden truth. The secret of art of sandwich making.

You know I dont normally like weddings. But today I went to probably the best wedding I have ever been to. It was simply perfect. Kev and Deb congrats :)

And you know what Deb, we may even take you up on your offer - even if it does mean that you might go into debt.

Krisby Kreme doughnuts are heavenly!

First of all, Happy Birthday to my brother for today (4/10).. remember everyone else is getting old with you mate :) Speaking of my brother, he is a huge Billy Bragg fan - who recently stopped off here for a few shows, unfortunately I didnt get around to seeing him, but my mate Russell did and he reports it was a great show was usual. He said that Bragg kept forgetting some of the lyrics and the audience would sing them out for him.. he also forgot some of the chords and some die hard fans even managed to help him out there - funny stuff..

Congrats also to Kev and Deb who manage to get hitched tomorrow.. woo hoo! I hope it all goes well - which Im sure it will. I just spoke to Kev and he reports that he got home at 5am from his stagg night last night (I had to bail early).. he also says - unsurprisingly that many moments of the night are blank and a mystery.

And finally, it would seem that my great mate Jason and his wife Bron are about to gather all of their belongings and pack them into the Family Van and hit the road - all the way up to the Gold Coast in Queensland. Didnt expect that one.. you guys will surely be missed. :( Let this be a lesson to all of you, remember you never know when a good thing will change. And having Jason and Bron as close friends have been a good thing. Of course our friendship wont change, but I will miss the fact that they will no longer be as close - well physically anyway.

I hope we can still find a way of making music together Jason! There's another lesson, dont put off what you can do today. We always talked about getting focused on doing some more music.. it was always going to be tomorrow though.. sigh..
