Why do the Alphabet song and Twinkle, Twinkle Little
Star have the same tune?
Finally sorted out the Weather problems and I have fixed the data which shows the weather (at the time this site was last updated) in the bottom right hand panel.
A big thank you goes to Nathan @ Fit for Public Consumption for his help!

Guess who has a new camera?
Did this this morning, nothing too grand.. just messing around on a Sunday morning.. although I do like it and think I can make it into 'something'.
I have just done a complete rebuild of this site.. you wont notice anything because its all been the engine - unless something doesnt work.. then you will notice.. if you find something broken please let me know.. I wont blame you for breaking it..
I am an ebay slut...
Its true. I cant help myself.. I am addicted to it. And it scares me.. I find I am bidding on things which I probably wouldnt be inclinded to buy if I wanted into a shop. Mind you, there is nothing I have purchased from ebay (and there have been a fair few things) which I have been unhappy with or dont like.. its just that I cant say that I need these things..
Today alone.. I got 4 items in the mail.. I got 2 x shirts - which really are nice and of good quality - plus cheap! 1 x Jesus Jones video which you cant purchase anymore and 1 x Patrick Nagel print - which I have been searching for and wanting for a while.
Yesterday I got a DVD (A beautiful mind) and I still have a heap of Bonsai books, a Jesus Jones your shirt, an autographed Duran Duran album, a DVD (minority report), another shirt, a digital camera, a video and a Duran Duran tour shirt somewhere in the postal system on their way to me!
Yes, I know.. I told you I am an ebay slut.
See this movie - bowling for comlumbine. I dont know if its still showing at the movies anymore.. if not it should be on DVD or Video soon..
You have probably heard about it already.. if not, its a documentary by Michael Moore which explores the reasons for the high death rate in america due to firearms. Some of what you see will surprise you, some of it will alarm you, and some of it will make you laugh. You may not be sure why you are laughing.. because its funny or because of the 'stoopidy' of it all. You decide.
Here is my first 'project' I have done on the K5000s I recent purchased. Its a version of Planet Earth by Duran Duran (of course). I opted for this song because the band I play around with (ARC) are doing a version of it. ARC's version is more guitar based.. a bit more of a rock version.
No guitars anywhere near this version though. I have output this as a lower quality MP3 to keep the file size down - as it is its a 1 meg file. This sample is from the middle 8 (bass solo) until the end of the tune.. hope you like.
My soon to be 404 error page..
I dont recommend that you click on this link.. but you probably will anyway..
We have two cats - they are rag dolls.. they flip and they flop.. hence the name rag dolls.
Anyway, these are not ordinary cats, they are more like dogs.. they follow you around everywhere... just to be near you. And most of all they will play fetch with you.. if you throw something, they will chase after it, pick it up in their mouths and bring it back to you to throw again.
Annabelle has been telling me they would do this for ages, but today was the first time they had actually done it of their own accord. They brought the 'sponge' to me and dropped it at my feet to throw.. and then repeatedly did it again and again..
Interesting factoid. I am (well used to be) extremely allergic to cats. I remember my friends Jason and Teena had cats and I never used to be able to visit.. I only had to think about a cat and my nose would take off and my eyes would throb.
Since being around these cats I have overcome my allergy.. I can have these cats sitting on my chest as I lay on the lounge no fear.. isnt that bizarre?
It serves myself right really.
You shouldnt really throw things at the best of times, even if its only a tupperware lid.. even if its only plastic and there is no risk of it breaking. And it didnt break - either. The wine glass it hit - that was sitting in the sink wasnt so lucky though.
And then there were three..
I cant remember if I have blogged about this before, I dont think I have.. I have been meaning to for a while..
Does anyone know what our policy (Australian Govnt's) is towards the disposal of batteries?
Did you know that it is illegal to throw them out with your normal garbage (thats trash for any USA readers).. so if we are not allowed to dispose of them through the normal waste system.. what do we do?
You would expect that there is a recycle centre somewhere for normal batteries wouldnt you? Well nope there isnt... so if we cant put them in the garbage and if there is no centre for us to take them to.. what are we meant to do?
Well the Australian Governments policy is simple.. what we are all meant to do is keep them stored in a shoe box in our cupboards, until they get around to creating a centre where we can 'officially' dispose of them. Sounds a bit silly doesnt it? But its true.. thats what our policy is.. we are not allowed to throw them out.. the policy is that we dont have one..
My mate Anthony took some photo's of Kraftwerk from the Big Day Out last weekend.. here are the best of the bunch.. enjoy..
